Some very good news coming out of Leeds this afternoon is that Young full-back Tyler Denton has signed a new 3 year deal with the club. This comes after the youngster scores on his debut at Luton on Tuesday evening.

Denton has captained the under 21s and after an impressive pre-season the news will delight Leeds fans. Denton’s brilliant performance was capped with a glorious goal and many will have taken notice of the young full back.

I think it’s great news for the club and I believe that under Garry Monk he has the opportunity to flourish at Elland Road. He joins Kalvin Phillips, Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Ronaldo Vieira in signing new deals this summer. The news also coincides with the Charlie Taylor transfer saga.

Let’s hope Denton can make a similar impression when he gets his chance as Taylor did a year and a half ago. Mowatt and Coyle next please.

Below is the strike from Denton at Luton.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
