Huddersfield arrive at Elland Road tomorrow in fantastic form and heavily the favourites after a poor start from Garry Monk and Leeds United. We will be without Gaetano Berardi but have Pontus Jansson and Eunan O’Kane available for the game. Huddersfield will want to repeat the performance from last season where they gave us a good old hiding at Elland Road, and hopefully we will want to put it right.

David Wagner and Huddersfield have been brilliant so far and it just shows you how much a side can improve if they are given half-decent time to gel and build. They arrive top of the table after 4 wins and a draw in the opening 5 games. To put that into context they have had trips to Newcastle and Aston Villa and taken 4 points. We will have Liam Bridcutt as captain and he will need to rally the troops and remind the players of what any derby is in Yorkshire. I think Monk may revert to the 4-2-3-1 formation now he’s had time to work with the players on the training ground.

One To Watch – Joe Lolley – Tormented us at Elland Road last season and sold Bamba for the early penalty. Brilliant left foot and a player who seems to thrive in the tight spaces. Ayling and Taylor will need to be at the top of their game.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
