Well, if the club release a “Pontus Jansson clothing range” and don’t sign him then it would be beyond bizarre. I was surprised though I must admit, as I swept through Twitter to see a flashing advert from the club stating that the Jansson range was to be released soon with the hashtag #MagicJansson. The player wants to stay, the club want to keep him, let’s get this done.
Jermaine Beckford is the only player who I can think of who has become such a hero at the club in recent history. Not even Ross McCormack was as popular as Jansson in my opinion. Jansson has become an instant success and has now become our most important signing since we were promoted back to the Championship. The fact that the club know what they have as well in terms of bringing the players and fans closer and the potential money to be made they know fine well this is something they can’t miss.
January is approaching extremely fast and Jansson is well on the way to reaching the 20 game mark set by Torino and Leeds United as part of the deal. Once he plays the 20 games then we can sign Jansson for the set price which is said to be around the £3.5 million mark, an absolute steal.
The club selling Jansson merchandise is a great shout as well by the way, I’m sure the stock will fly off the shelves.
