In a game where experience could be crucial we could be without our two most influential central midfielders. Liam Bridcutt isn’t far off but this game will come too soon. Along with that is Eunan O’Kane who is struggling after picking up an injury on international duty.

O’Kane returned home from Ireland after picking up a groin injury and we already know that Garry Monk will not risk any player who isn’t 100% fit. Having neither O’Kane or Bridcutt does raise the question about experience in the middle of the park against the likes of Jonjo Shelvy and Jack Coleback, who are both vastly experienced players.

Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips will probably be the pairing if O’Kane can’t make the game. Phillips and O’Kane have been the most used duo in that role this season and it’s fair to say they have formed quite a solid partnership in a short space of time.

Monk will likely reveal whether O’Kane is fit or not in his pre-game press conference. All of us are hoping for good news.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
