As the transfer window begins to take shape Leeds have been linked with talented Norwich winger Sergi Canos. The 19 year old is highly regarded and Garry Monk is apparently interested in bringing him to the club. Sky are reporting that Canos and Brentford are already in talks but Leeds are now in the race.
Canos comes with plenty of pedigree with the clubs he has previously been at. Canos joined Liverpool from FC Barcelona for two years and was highly regarded at Liverpool. After struggling to get a chance in the first team Canos was loaned to Brentford where he scored 7 goals and a few assists in a productive season. He then turned down a permanent move to the Bees and joined Norwich for £2.5 million, rising to £4.5 million with add-ons. The add-ons seem unlikely to happen with Canos looking for a move away.
Canos is a winger who can also play behind the forward or even as the striker. Tricky and quick he possesses ability to make an impact at this level and he does seem like a player who would fit into Monk’s style of play. Whether Leeds have joined the party too late we don’t know for sure, the story will take shape one way or another in the coming days or even weeks.
