Leeds’ opponents for the next round of the FA Cup have tonight been revealed after an astonishing turn-around in the tie. Sutton United came back from 1-0 down away at AFC Wimbledon to win 1-3 and set up a TV tie with the non-league side.

Sutton and Wimbledon drew 0-0 at The Borough Sports Ground on the 3G pitch to set up a return tie tonight. The game was scheduled for TV anyway whoever went through tonight with both AFC Wimbledon and Sutton United unhappy their fixture was missed off the TV list in favour of the regular Premier League games, and they had a point.

We will now play Sutton United away on January 29th in the fourth round. I’m looking forward to seeing how the players cope with the challenge. For now it’s on to Barnsley and the league, before the re-arranged fixture against Forest next Wednesday.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
