Struggling Ipswich Town are set to win the race against Rotherham to sign Toumani Diagouraga on loan for the rest of the season. The midfielder isn’t part of the plans at Leeds United and Garry Monk hasn’t used him since the opening day.

Dave has been set to go since before the window opened and it was a matter of when and not if. He was a crowd favourite and Leeds but a woeful opening day wasn’t the beginning of the end for him, it actually was the end. He hasn’t even made a squad since that day and that was before Liam Bridcutt and Eunan O’Kane signed for the club.

The deal is expected to go through early this week, Mick McCarthy happy to have the deal nearing completion. I think he goes with the best wishes of all Leeds fans and the club similar to Luke Murphy who has also left to join Burton Albion this month. Both worked very hard for Leeds during their time at the club.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
