One of the worst kept secrets at Elland Road and one that will change things at the club going forward, Andrea Radrizzani taking full control at Leeds United. Today he revealed to Italian media that he was on the brink of buying out Massimo Cellino at the club.

Massimo Cellino is reportedly on the brink of purchasing Serie B side Brescia and has all but left the building at Leeds United since the turn of the year. Since then he has been quiet at the club and it hasn’t been that way since he took control at the club. Andrea Radrizzani has been the face behind the scenes since then and was a key figure at the Player of the Year awards where he made a speech about the club and was pretty bold in doing it, saying he was “surprised to find the club in the 70’s for infrastructure”.

Radrizzani said the deal could even be done within the next 10 days and that would mean we can begin to focus on the summer and its planning. There is still no news on Garry Monk but it has been reported that Radrizzani is keen on giving Monk a long-term deal at the club. Radrizzani has already promised a bright future and some very big changes off the field to bring the club forward.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
