The worry that pre-season would be left until the last minute again this summer are to be eased with BBC Leeds journalist at extremely reliable source Adam Pope today tweeting that the club plan to confirm plans this week ahead of a big summer.
The decision on a head-coach will hopefully arrive in the coming days, the time Garry Monk leaving the club is closing on two weeks and Andrea Radrizzani will want a quick resolution now some time has passed. I think he is still well within his rights to be contemplating who he wants but if we don’t have someone by the end of this week, either done or extremely close to being done then we will have some serious restlessness and stress amongst fans, I’ll probably be one of them.
Pre-season plans have been taking shape though it seems, probably headed by the likes of Ivan Bravo who has some serious connections abroad. Pre-season will be crucial as the late organisation and planning last summer ended up meaning a very slow and sloppy start to the season which, had it had an even half decent start could have meant a chance at the play-offs. Leeds ended up in Ireland which was fine but Monk and co didn’t really have the chance to prepare and when the trip to Queens Park Rangers rolled around it was serious trouble.
Hopefully Pre-season and a new head-coach announcement are coming this week.
