This deal made it much easier to track down fans, rather than the recent Werder Bremen and FC Twente fan views in last few weeks. Anita has signed a three-year-deal with the club and was unveiled at the kit launch tonight. Newcastle fans are passionate and honest and this fan was happy to give us his opinion on the new man.

Newcastle Fan View

1. Anita to Leeds, initial thoughts on the deal?

Newcastle Fan – “Based on the season he had with Newcastle last season, he a good signing for Leeds.”

2. Anita is known for being versatile, where are his best positions?

Newcastle Fan – “His best positions in my opinion are just in front of the back 4 but has shown his ability as an attacking midfielder.”

3. What style of player is he, what are his strengths?

Newcastle Fan – “His main strength is his awareness and ability to pick out a player with a pass. His playing style…would have to say he is quick but his lack of height can restrict him. However he is very fit and has tremendous stamina with a never ‘say’ die attitude.”

4. A free transfer for Leeds, seems like a great deal, are you surprised he left on s free?

Newcastle Fan – “Yes, would have loved him to stay at the Toon.”

5. If you could compare him to any other footballer, who and why?

Newcastle Fan – “Hmm a bit of a difficult one. You could probably compare him to your own Ronaldo Vieira in that he is creative but not a prolific goal scorer (but not frightened to have a shot either) except Anita has more experience of course.”

7. What does he need to improve on?

Newcastle Fan – “His height! Seriously though I am the wrong person to ask as I was and still am, a big fan of his, my partner too. He didn’t really do much wrong especially in our run up to relegation. Never dropped his head and played out of his skin. We are both sorry to lose him.”

Newcastle Fan – “In my opinion I’ll be amazed if he isn’t. You have a hard working committed team player who has shown ability and commitment in a number of positions at Newcastle, a la Paul Madley. There’s a blast from the past for you.”

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
