Leeds are set to sign Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban in the next 48 hours after he flew in from abroad to seal his move to West Yorkshire. He is set to sign in the coming days once he passes his medical and finalises personal terms.

There isn’t much info on the Italian born striker but we do know he had a successful spell with Partizani Tirana last season scoring 17 goals in 34 games to help fire them into a Champions League spot in Albania. The standard is obviously a concern but Leeds will be looking at his raw attributes and how they can help him develop at the club. We also know his main strengths, they aren’t difficult to see. Speed, he can certainly move and that is something we do lack in the forward positions at the club. His record hasn’t been great in front of goal until last season but now at the age of 23 he will have the biggest test of his career.

Leeds today secured the signing of Samu Saiz from Huesca on a four-year-deal subject to a medical which is scheduled for tomorrow. He arrives for a fee in the region of £3.1 million and arrives with a bubbling reputation, being known as the best player outside of La Liga last year in his native Spain. For more info on Saiz here is our fan view from earlier. http://peacockandsmiley.com/4405/leeds-sign-samu-saiz-huesca-fan-view/.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
