Former Ajax youngster Boban Lazic is training with the club by the looks of his instagram. The right winger posted earlier he was on his way from Brussels to Manchester and then his next post was him in a Leeds United training shirt.

Lazic most recently played for FC Oss in Holland and has scored four goals in 32 appearances for the club, most of his games played from the right wing. He has represented Holland at under 17 level a few times but then represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at under 21’s level, more likely to feature in their senior team than he would have been for Holland. The 23-year-old was born in Holland and made it into the Ajax academy before playing for Ajax Jong, the Ajax second team who play in the lower divisions of Dutch football.

He them moved to Olympiacos where he didn’t feature in the first team and moved back to Holland to play for FC Zwolle, if you recognice the name that may be because our first summer signing, Mateusz Klich also played there before he moved on to Germany. He then moved to FC Oss and has been there since. I was told via social media he is very talented but he may struggle to make the step into the Championship, mainly due to his fitness. It may be a case of putting him into the development squad for a few months to assess him and go from there.

More recruiting from Europe, very encouraging although we can’t judge players who we don’t know yet. The scouting net is picking up players on a daily basis at the moment.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
