Leeds will officially announce Swedish striker Pawel Cibicki tomorrow after the player was pictured both signing a deal with Victor Orta and Angus Kinnear, then pictured with the number 22 shirt at Elland Road. The pictures have been leaked ahead of deadline day, with the deal to sign the striker clearly done.

The 23-year-old can also play as a left sided winger and the deal to sign him from Swedish club Malmo will cost the club around £1.6 million. Cibicki has been linked with the club in recent weeks after a summer where he had also been linked with both Manchester United and Ajax. Players being linked with clubs during a window means little and we know that, after being linked with nearly every striker in England who didn’t play at the weekend. We know little about the forward and it is very much like most of our deals this summer, unknown and a case of wiat and see.

Ezgjan Alioski, Samu Saiz, Caleb Ekuban, Felix Wiedwald, Mateusz Klich, all players that most of us hadn’t heard of this summer yet all players who have impressed in their early Leeds careers. Cibicki is another, but Victor Orta has proved to be extremely useful with his dealings so far, and another example of that is the development side of things. After the deal that saw Chris Wood depart for £15 million you can be excused for being underwhelmed but you have to give the player a chance to prove himself now. Pierre-Michel Lasogga is also expected to be confirmed tomorrow ahead of the transfer deadline looming.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
