Paul Heckingbottom has recalled Liam Cooper for the trip to Norwich City today, and despite travelling with the squad Ryan Edmondson and Luke Ayling haven’t made the 18. Kemar Roofe retains his spot up front and Samu Saiz starts again despite poor form and his tantrum in the last game, hopefully a positive reaction from him.

Leeds XI

GK – Baily Peacock-Farrell – Will be the busier of the two keepers most probably. Making a name for himself.

RB – Matthew Pennington – We have little option. Will be a hit or miss.

CB – Pontus Jansson  – Two goals in three games against Norwich, another wouldn’t hurt.

CB – Liam Cooper – Not much love for this decision and it’s easy to see why. Doesn’t really deserve to be back in the side at the expense of Paudie O’Connor.

LB – Tom Pearce – Will be able to get forward today, needs to tuck in when Norwich have the ball.

CM – Kalvin Phillips – Very surprised to see him retain his place with Forshaw fit again, needs to make an impact today, so many games pass him by.

CM – Ronaldo Vieira – Contain James Maddison, his focus today.

RW – Gjanni Alioksi – Norwich City play wing-backs and he could really get at Jamal Lewis with the amount of work to do for the left-back.

CAM – Samu Saiz – Seriously needs a big game, he owes us one.

LW – Pablo Hernandez – All the focus will be on the veteran Norwich City playmaker Hoolahan but Hernandez isn’t done yet, maybe he could steal the show.

ST – Kemar Roofe – Keeps his place after playing well in the last game, needs service.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
