Final game of the season and honestly it’s a relief. Everyone is concentrating on the summer and the hope of kicking on again. We had news of Kyle Bartley last week which makes you think we can really push on this summer but we still have the game tomorrow to contend with, and Queens Park Rangers will want a win to round up a decent season for them, they are stabilising after a rough few years. Throw caution to the wind yesterday and play a few more youngsters.

My XI

GK – Baily Peacock-Farrell – Probably the first mistake he’s made since coming onto the team last week and even that is questionable. A big summer ahead for the lad.

RB – Bryce Hosannah – Signed a new deal yesterday and has been turning heads in the under 23’s, why not give him a taste tomorrow. Pennington, no…Dallas, no…Anita, no!

CB – Pontus Jansson – Hopefully a big performance before he heads to the World Cup. Nobody will be happier than Jansson to see that Bartley is the top target this summer.

CB – Paudie O’Connor – Should never have been dropped for Liam Cooper and I’m certain he’ll be on the bench again tomorrow and Cooper will start. The latter needs to go this summer for me.

LB – Tom Pearce – Has made the position his own. I saw many fans saying Heckingbottom had thrown him under the bus after last weeks game and I didn’t see it that way at all.

RW – Gjanni Alioksi – Won the goal of the season award last night, a strange one for me because there were a few better but the people have spoken. Has been playing well in the main, but would like to see him round off the season with a good performance, one to watch next season.

CM – Ronaldo Vieira – Really didn’t have a great game at Norwich but nobody did. Will give us the energy in the middle, I expect to see Phillips and Forshaw though.

CM – Adam Forshaw – Hasn’t started a game for a while, key player next season and I would like to see him in the side with Vieira. I fully expect that Phillips will start though.

LW – Jack Clarke – If anyone deserves a chance in the wide areas tomorrow it’s Clarke. I have a horrible feeling that we may see Jay-Roy Grot from the start, but I really hope not.

FW – Samu Saiz – Really is due a half decent game, I can’t remember the last time he played well.

ST – Kemar Roofe – Will finish the top scorer this season and three of his goals came at Queens Park Rangers. Has played quite well since coming back into the side a few weeks ago, if we give him chances he will probably put them away.

About Author

Born in Gibraltar, raised in Scotland from a very young age. Been a huge fan of Leeds United since I could walk and talk, thanks to my Dad, the English half of me. After a few years in Australia I moved to Leeds, the trips from Scotland down to the city a few times a season didn't cut it. Love the city. Love the people, and the 12 hour round trip to Elland Road is about a 20 minute round trip. Love writing about the club, the more I write the more I feel comfortable doing it. As long as it's enjoyable I'll continue to do so, keep looking to step it up and progress as well. Leeds United is more than just a football team for me, as is it with so many others.
