It’s like an itch that you have to scratch as a Leeds United fans. That itch – ‘I wonder how so-and-so is doing at this-and-that club since he left us’. Call it an urge or a compulsion – we’ve all been guilty of it as some stage.

That itch drove me to check out Rangers game against Kilmarnock this afternoon – well the result, anyway. As expected, the Gers won in a league that is no more than a two-horse race at the best of time and one which Celtic will likely win for the 10th season in a row. Still, games need to be won and Rangers did so today by a 2-0 scoreline.

The result is inconsequential, the scorers are of relevance. It took until the second half before things went Rangers way. Leeds United old boy, Kemar Roofe, opened the scoring moments after having a header rebound off the post. Roofe, or rather ‘Roffe’ according to his shirt (below), has come in for some pelters from Gers fans but is off the mark.

The second goal for the Scottish giants was scored by the impressive Ryan Kent who Stevie G said that we cannot have for £10m as he is worth more than that. In fairness, he did look the part today and ran the game and scored his third of the season.

Leeds United were told to go away by Rangers and Gerrard and that former Liverpool winger Kent was not for sale. Trouble is, if he carries on scoring like this then Leeds United might just ignore both club and manager and go in with a bigger bid.
