It’s been a whirlwind day for Leeds United and that whirlwind is going to pick up some with news from respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio that Leeds United and Valencia have agreed on a deal that will see Rodrigo feature in the Premier League for the Whites. It is also corroborated by journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter (tweet – below):

News broke this morning that Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta were in Valencia and were working hard on a deal to sign the Brazilian-born Spaniard who’d spent a season on loan at Bolton early in his career. Since then, though, Rodrigo has kicked on and has starred for Valencia since a July 2015 move from Benfica. He’s featured in 220 games for Valencia in his time at the club, scoring 59 goals and creating 41 assists.

Now, according to Di Marzio, it appears that he will next be starring for Leeds United in the Premier League. Di Marzio says that Rodrigo will be one of United’s “spearheads” in English football’s top-tier next season saying that the club has reached “an agreement with Valencia.” This ‘agreement’ will see Leeds part with around €30m/£27m, a fee that smashes the Whites transfer record.

Di Marzio continues by adding that not only has a deal been agreed but that Leeds United have already set up and scheduled a medical for Rodrigo.
