Liam Bridcutt is being chased by Nottingham Forest according to the press, and Thomas Christiansen says he has now heard of the interest, but the Scottish international is still in his plans at Leeds United.
Bridcutt, a key player in pre-season seemed to fall out of the plans after the game against Eibar. Leeds found themselves 3-0 down at the break and he hasn’t started a Leeds game since. He arrived from Sunderland at the end of the last transfer window, and after a bad injury he never really recovered, and his form dipped.
Bridcutt was the captain last season and I’m not convinced he isn’t the captain again, he just hasn’t started a game yet. I also don’t thinking Bridcutt will be happy being told “he is still in plans” whilst he is in the stands or on the bench. Personally I think he will be disappointed to be behind Kalvin Phillips in the pecking order too. Forest have the money to pay his wages, that’s for sure. The next few weeks will be interesting.
