A week ago you wouldn’t have thought that our captain from last season would be lining up against us tomorrow night. To be honest this season has been full of surprises and we have been enjoying them on the pitch A win at Sunderland has turned a decent start into a very good start, and a win tomorrow would make it an extremely good start.
Nottingham Forest have started the season very well, another surprise. Mark Warburton is a decent manager at this level and will guide Forest to a decent finish, although I think it will be mid-table. They have been in good form and the new signings have looked good, one of them is Scottish striker Jason Cummings who bagged two at St. James Park on Wednesday night in the League Cup, a player that had a big step up to make but seems to be doing it. Barrie McKay was another who arrived from north of the border netted on his debut and has been impressing since. A solid team, and one capable of causing problems to all sides this season.
Liam Bridcutt vs Eunan O’Kane – O’Kane is a better footballer than Liam Bridcutt, no doubt about it. Bridcutt will want to make a point tomorrow and the player who effectively replaced him will be his number one target.
Matt Mills vs Kemar Roofe – A Hat-trick on Tuesday will do Roofe the world of good but stepping up against a Championship defence is another game entirely and if he lets Mills bully him early it will be a long afternoon.
