Leeds have taken Polish youngster Kamil Miazek on trial with the first-team and under 23’s. The Goalkeeper arrives after few years with Dutch Champions Feyenoord and will get the chance to impress at the club ahead of a potential move to the club.
Leeds have a few polish youngsters in the youth ranks and new £1.6 million signing Mateusz Klich who featured and played the full 120 minutes ion the League Cup win over Premier League Burnley last night. He signed from Belchatow in his native Poland in 2012 and has been there ever since. Leeds are looking to bolster their youth ranks, signing players from all over Europe this summer. We have already seen three Barcelona players and a Real Madrid youngster. They aren’t the only ones and it seems every week a youngster arrives into the system.
Leeds currently have three goalkeepers in and around the first-team. Felix Wiedwald is the number one and arrived for around £500k from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in the summer. Andy Lonergan was brought in to replace Rob Green as the back-up for Wiedwald a few weeks back and made his second Leeds debut last night at Burnley. The third is youngster Baily Peacock-Farrell. The goalkeeper has been playing in the under 23’s and was recently called up to the Northern Ireland squad for the World Cup Qualifiers.
