Someone will grab themselves the last home ticket at Elland Road for the next home game, probably tonight as the game is on the brink of another sell-out. The ticket is in the lower east and in all honesty it could be gone by the time I have finished writing this.
Preston North End, Burton and Ipswich Town have all sold out in the home end this season and both Fulham and Birmingham have had the upper east stand open for midweek games which hasn’t happened in over 10 years (for a standard league game). The Reading game will follow and we expect a poor turn out from the away end as normal, which will bring the attendance down. The sell-out situation wasn’t an issue for many years and now we are doing it every second week, testament to the club and fans.
We have had a rough week and a tough month after starting back so well after the international break, hitting the top of the league and looking brilliant. However things have been a struggle since but progress both on and off the pitch has been staggering again this season and new owner Andrea Radrizzani has been key figure in all of this. We are now talking about what is going on with the team rather than what’s going on behind the scenes.
