Leeds United midfielder who many fans were keen on seeing in a Leeds shirt this month made his first impression on loan at Cultural Leonesa this afternoon. The Spanish strugglers came from 0-1 down to win the game, and Ideguchi has a big part to play.
The connection between Leeds United and Cultural Leonesa was struck in the summer. Ivan Bravo, an ex-Real Madrid chief executive is now a key member at Leeds United as well as owning Cultural and the Aspire Academy. Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta agreed links with both the club and academy and it has become common knowledge that Leeds are to help the Spanish side out where they can. Leeds will probably get first shout on some of the Cultural players too.
Ideguchi replaced Ouasim Bouy at Cultural and made his debut from the bench last week before starting on the bench today in a must-win game. At half-time he came on at 0-1 and the game finished 2-1, a huge result for Ivan Bravo’s club. Ideguchi impressed by winning the ball back and playing in simple. The English Cultural twitter account said this after the game “About Ideguchi. He played the second half substituting Mario, who was doing a great job. He didn’t take any risk, playing easy. He made some mistakes but I’m sure he will improve as he gets more minutes in the field.”
