Leeds latest signing Tyler Roberts is making no mistake about what sort of player the club are signing. He is confident and very happy to be at the club despite dropping down from Premier League side West Bromwich Albion. He says he likes the weight of expectation on him and he will certainly have that at Leeds.

“It’s overwhelming really to come to this massive club,” said Roberts.
“For a couple of months I’ve known there has been interest there and then obviously Leeds have come in and managed to get the deal done with West Brom and I’m really happy it is completed now.
“As a footballer and knowing about the history of Leeds United, it is a great feeling that a club of this stature wants you to play for them.
“Speaking to the manager, the backroom staff and everybody involved in the club, this seems like a perfect fit for me right now.
“Of course West Brom are in the Premier League and you can say they are in a higher division, but Leeds United is a massive club and are definitely going forward and heading back to the Premier League, so I’m really happy to be here now.
“I’ve had a few loan spells at Oxford United, Shrewsbury Town and Walsall, getting as much experience as I can, trying to score goals and make a name for myself and now I feel this is a great next step for me.
“I’m an attacking player, I like to go one against one with people and beat them, get my shots off well and link up with others and make things happen.
“I like to have an expectation on me, it just makes me want to prove to people that I can do it, I can’t wait to get into training and meet the squad.”
