Baily Peacock-Farrell for Leeds, the woodwork for Sunderland, the best players on each side and that tells a story. Leeds main issue today was the lack of a number 9 in the box, someone who would attack the ball, and some of the deliveries into the box need looking at as well.
Player Ratings
Baily Peacock-Farrell – 9 – #PASMOM – Best performance since he came into the side. Strong in the air, pulled of a couple of wonderful saves, one in particular was brilliant.
Stuart Dallas – 4 – Probaby the poorest I’ve seen Dallas in a Leeds shirt. Nothing wrong with his passion or desire, but he got into six or seven crossing positions today and didn’t put in a decent delivery.
Pontus Jansson – 7 – Strong today, was better alongside O’Connor which doesn’t really make sense but he stepped up for the youngster and he didn’t dissapoint.
Paudie O’Connor – 7 – A very encouraging debut. The Irish youngster was composed both and and off the ball and showed he can get stuck in too.
Gaetano Berardi – 3 – A point for every red card this season. A shocking tackle, let the side down.
Gjanni Alioski – 5 – Poor today. Worked hard but wasteful on the ball and missed a sitter.
Ronaldo Vieira – 7 – Stood out in the middle today and looks to be back to himself. Hit the post in the first half with a good effort.
Kalvin Phillips – 6 – I thought Phillips did well today, he just gave a few sloppy passes away, less than O’Kane normally does though.
Pablo Hernandez – 8 – Took his goal well and almost scored a lovely goal but Camp saved well. Also put one on a plate for anyone? No takers? Of course not.
Samu Saiz – 7 – Better today, should have scored one and had another cannon back off the post from a free-kick.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga – 4 – Did nothing, didn’t get in the box enough and ducked when crossed did come in. One of those games from him.
