Leeds United are a side slipping in form but tenaciously hanging on to 2nd spot in the Sky Bet Championship.
Last time out, at home against Norwich City, the Whites were humbled in a 3-1 defeat that saw the Canaries soar to the top on goal difference.
Tomorrow’s task, in the early kick-off, sees United travel up to Teesside to take on 5th place Middlesbrough at The Riverside. It is a game that could propel the West Yorkshire side back to the top ahead of the traditional kick-offs at 3pm.
It’s been a season of unsettled frustrations for Leeds United fans, frustrations where often sparkling football has been tinged with a growing injury list. Hopefully that list will right itself as the club begin to embark on an important run-in to the season’s end.
Already the signs are looking more encouraging with the likes of Barry Douglas back in contention and Patrick Bamford making a scoring return for the second time when grabbing that consolation goal against Norwich.
However, much more excitement is in store for Leeds United fans tomorrow in what will be an undoubtedly difficult tussle with Boro on their patch.

Leeds United chairman Radrizzani’s tweet says it all – Izzy Brown is involved tomorrow. The proof in the pudding is the customary ‘initiation song’, as Brown is pictured singing.
The Chelsea young star has been on loan at Elland Road since the last throes of the summer transfer window. He was signed injured, with Leeds United playing a key par tin his recuperation and rehabilitation.
That rehabilitation has seen him nursed back to fitness and back into football via the Under-23s and Professional Development League 2. Brown has come into his own, scoring regularly over his recent games and, more importantly, not suffering any reaction.
The attacking midfielder’s inclusion, in some shape or form, will give Leeds United a big boost and their fans an answer to prayers that have been said over recent weeks. Here’s how some of these fans have reacted to the ‘news’ that he will be involved against Boro.
Izzy sees it’s time to get whizzy and busy as Leeds début beckons

Agree – will be on the bench but great option off the bench until he’s fully fit
