Dear Brighton and Hove Albion,
Thank you ever so much for allowing us to bring up your son, Ben White and for allowing him to be exposed to the rigours and trials of the Sky Bet Championship. I realise that you will be grateful for the time we have put into improving him and that you will be looking to see him improve more.
It is only natural that some nurture links remain, that is why we attempted to buy him from you. We are sorry if you feel affronted at us having the temerity to offer you £25m to buy him. We realise that this might make you think we see the transaction as some kind of back-street baby-selling deal. That wasn’t our intention; sorry if you feel affronted.
However, there is this (below) that we’d like to draw your attention to:
🗣 "Brighton have said there is no way they are going to sell to Leeds"

It’s kind of a slap in the face that you have gotten on your high-horse over our approaches and gotten all petty over it. We appreciate that you wish to keep a hold of him but him turning down three contract offers tells its own story. That, to all who are sitting watching this unfold, is the epitome of pettiness.
In closing, we wish Ben White all the best and sincerely hope that he goes on to be bought by a top side and kicks on even further with them.
Leeds United fans
p.s. We hope that you are scrambling around in the relegation mire all season before being relegated.
