When will this transfer tombola stop turning, I’m getting all dizzy watching it spin…and spin…and spin. Rodrigo Moreno and Robin Koch are in, Rodrigo de Paul and Ryan Kent are supposedly out there as options. Then there’s young Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol to consider. We are being spoiled.
Now, according to Croatian publication, Sportske Novosti, Leeds United has slammed in an £8m bid for Rangers star Borna Barisic. It is a bid that the Gers have knocked back for the 12-cap Croatian international left-back.
Barisic joined Rangers from NK Osijek in early August 2018 for a fee of £2,2m. In his time at Ibrox, he’s gone on to make 68 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing an astounding 21 assists. This season he’s made 6 appearances, scoring 1 goal and adding 3 assists in a series of displays that have definitely caught the eye.
Steven Gerrard has remained steadfast all along that his players are going nowhere as his side looks to end Celtic’s dominant grasp over the SPL that stretches back the last nine years. Rangers turned down an approach for Ryan Kent; it looks like the same criteria applies to Barisic.
Looks like Steely Steve means business and that his players aren’t for sale. Well, not just yet, anyway.
